The Robustel R2110e is an LTE Cat-4 industrial router built for deployments where managing SIM logistics across geographies, carriers, or long device lifecycles creates operational friction. It shares the same proven hardware platform as the R2110, with one deliberate change: the second physical SIM slot is replaced by an embedded MFF2 eSIM compliant with GSMA SGP.22, producing a hybrid 1รMini SIM (2FF) + 1รeSIM architecture that supports remote profile download, activation, switching, and removal โ without physical access to the device.
The practical implication is a different operational model. Where the R2110 suits stable deployments with locally-sourced SIM requirements, the R2110e is the right choice when connectivity management needs to live in software: because devices are geographically dispersed across carrier boundaries, because the device lifecycle will outlast the current carrier agreement, or because deployment scale makes per-device SIM handling impractical.
All core R2110 capabilities are carried over: WWAN/WAN/WLAN link redundancy with ICMP detection, cold and warm backup with load balancing, IPsec/OpenVPN/GRE/WireGuard VPN, four gigabit Ethernet ports (configurable as 1รWAN + 3รLAN), RS-232/RS-485 serial, isolated DI/DO, dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, optional GNSS, and the full RobustOS platform with C/C++ SDK and App Centre.
