Robustel LG3120e
Industrial Edge Computing LoRaWAN Gateway with 4G, eSIM, Wi-Fi, Serial and I/O
The Robustel LG3120e is a high-performance industrial LoRaWAN gateway built for sites where connectivity and local intelligence need to arrive together. Running on RobustOS Pro (Debian 11 Bullseye) on a Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 at 2.0 GHz with 2 GB DDR4 RAM and 6 GB of SDK-available flash, it processes, filters, and acts on field data locally โ reducing cloud dependency and the latency that comes with it.
A native LoRaWAN Network Server handles LoRaWAN V1.0.4 Class A and Class C device management on-device across EU868, AU915, US915, and AS923 frequency plans. Pre-installed device profiles and codecs for major LoRa sensor families enable zero-configuration onboarding โ attach a supported sensor and it begins reporting without manual decoder setup.
MFF2 eSIM alongside a physical Mini SIM (2FF) slot, dual cellular antennas, and dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) provide flexible backhaul. TPM 2.0 provides hardware-level key storage and attestation. An onboard RTC retains timekeeping for up to five days after power loss โ relevant for remote sites where power interruptions are a known operational condition.
Fleet operations are managed through RCMS: real-time device status, geospatial dashboard, OTA firmware and configuration delivery, and RobustVPN for secure remote access without a site visit.

Example LG3120e Use Cases
Smart Farming/Agriculture

Soil sensors, weather stations, irrigation controllers, and water-quality nodes across large agricultural or environmental monitoring sites share a common challenge: distances too great for wired runs, and cloud connectivity that cannot be assumed reliable. The LG3120e’s integrated LNS manages end-node registration and uplink collection on-device. The Quad-core A53 processor and 2 GB RAM support local pre-processing and buffering that keeps data intact through connectivity gaps, while cellular and dual-band Wi-Fi backhaul provide flexibility based on what infrastructure exists at the site.
Remote Asset Monitoring

Distributed field assets โ wellheads, pressure regulators, pump stations, tank farms โ are often too spread out for wired networks and too critical for unreliable connectivity. The LG3120e addresses both constraints: built-in LoRaWAN covers scattered sensor nodes across a site without cabling, while the integrated LNS and E2C Field Suite aggregate LoRa sensor data alongside Modbus or OPC-UA readings from legacy field instruments into a single outbound stream. Local Node-RED logic can trigger DO outputs or SMS alerts on threshold breaches, independently of cloud availability.
Industrial Facilities & Plant

In manufacturing and process environments, LoRa sensors for IAQ, temperature, vibration, and energy sub-metering operate alongside wired PLCs and HMI systems running Modbus or BACnet. The LG3120e bridges both worlds via its dual RS-232/485 ports and E2C Field Suite, unifying wired instrument data and wireless sensor traffic at the edge before forwarding to SCADA or cloud analytics. Pre-installed sensor profiles reduce integration time for common LoRa devices; the built-in dashboard surfaces key metrics locally without waiting for cloud round-trips.
