The Robustel R1520LG LoRaWAN Gateway shows why choosing a LoRaWAN gateway should begin with its role in the network rather than with a claimed range or maximum sensor count. A simple packet-forwarding gateway, a gateway with an embedded LoRaWAN Network Server, and an edge gateway that also processes field data may all use LoRaWAN radio,…

The Robustel R5020-Lite Industrial 5G Router shows why choosing an industrial 5G router should begin with the network architecture rather than with headline cellular speed. A router providing the primary WAN for an unattended industrial site faces different interface, recovery and management requirements from one providing fixed-line backup, vehicle connectivity or temporary broadband. Industrial 5G…

The Robustel EG5200 edge computing gateway is a strong fit for industrial sites where multiple field devices, local applications and WAN connectivity need to converge on one edge platform, but edge computing should begin with workload placement rather than processor specifications. The first decision is what genuinely needs to happen close to the equipment and…

The Robustel EG5120 edge computing gateway fits industrial architectures where networking and customer applications run on the same edge platform, but this combination creates a broader security responsibility than a connectivity-only gateway. An industrial edge gateway security review must protect not only WAN access and firmware, but also the Linux applications, packages, containers, credentials and…

The Robustel R1520LG LoRaWAN Gateway fits distributed LoRaWAN fleets where operators need to monitor gateway health, manage configurations, perform firmware and application update workflows through RCMS, and investigate connectivity problems without visiting every site. Effective fleet management, however, depends on a repeatable incident workflow rather than remote-access tools alone. At 08:15 on Monday, an operations…

The Robustel R5010 Industrial 5G Router and RCMS fit multi-site 5G deployments where centralized provisioning, monitoring, configuration and updates are needed across large router estates. The main challenge beyond 100 sites is not simply seeing every router online—it is preventing configuration, firmware and operational policy from drifting into hundreds of slightly different site builds. Now…

The Robustel EG5120 edge computing gateway can reduce application latency when a decision that would otherwise travel across a WAN and remote compute platform can be processed locally. It cannot remove sensor acquisition time, fieldbus delays, local processing time or actuator response, so the useful question is not “How low is edge latency?” but “Which…

The Robustel R1520LG LoRaWAN Gateway can fit both private LoRaWAN deployments and architectures using an external Network Server, but the better network model depends less on gateway hardware than on how much coverage, infrastructure and operational responsibility the business wants to own. Consider a logistics company with two very different requirements. Inside a large distribution…

The Robustel R5020 Industrial 5G Router fits remote video sites that need high-bandwidth cellular backhaul from Ethernet-connected cameras, NVRs or other video equipment. But CCTV router sizing should begin with actual uplink traffic and recording architecture—not a fixed camera-count rule—because eight cameras can produce radically different WAN and data-plan requirements. Consider two remote sites. Both…

The Robustel EG5100 edge computing gateway fits phased SCADA modernization projects where existing controllers and operator systems must remain operational while a new data, protocol or remote-management layer is introduced. The gateway should support migration in controlled stages rather than forcing the plant into a one-day replacement of proven SCADA infrastructure. A mature water, energy…
