Robustel EG5101p
Embedded Industrial edge computing gateway with Dual-SIM 4G LTE Cat-1, Serial and a Debian-based OS
The EG5101p is the board-level, embedded version of Robustelโs EG5101 edge gateway. Itโs designed to be built directly into your own hardware โ chargers, kiosks, cabinets, controllers โ when you want managed cellular backhaul and on-device processing without bolting in a boxed gateway.
Powered by an NXP i.MX 6ULL (792 MHz) with 8 GB eMMC, the EG5101p runs RobustOS Pro (Debian 11) and supports containerized workloads. That means you can deploy your own applications for protocol bridging, buffering, data reduction, and local decision-making at site level, instead of streaming every raw register back to the cloud.
For connectivity, the EG5101p combines LTE Cat 1 with dual-SIM redundancy and Ethernet WAN for resilience in the field. An enterprise VPN toolkit (IPsec, OpenVPN, GRE, L2TP, PPTP, DMVPN) gives you secure tunnels back to your network โ even in remote or untrusted locations.
For industrial integration, the board exposes RS-232 and RS-485 alongside Ethernet, so you can talk directly to PLCs, meters, legacy instruments, and panel controllers as well as modern IP devices. Wide temperature tolerance and panel-friendly mounting make it suitable for plant rooms, street cabinets, and OEM enclosures.
In short: EG5101p gives you an embedded, Linux-based edge compute platform with built-in cellular and industrial I/O, ready for rapid integration.
