The Robustel R2110 5G RedCap is engineered for deployments where connectivity demands come from multiple directions at once — distributed fleets, smart city infrastructure, in-vehicle networks, and multi-site digital operations where a single link failure cannot be an acceptable outcome. At its centre is native 5G RedCap (3GPP Release 17) cellular, providing the throughput headroom and 5G core network access that these application classes increasingly require. Surrounding it is a multi-link architecture WWAN, WAN, and WLAN link backup with configurable cold and warm failover modes and load balancing that keeps traffic flowing across whichever combination of cellular, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi links are available at any given moment.
What distinguishes the R2110 5G RedCap from simpler cellular routers is the breadth of its integrated capability. Integrated GNSS spanning GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS enables position reporting and asset tracking alongside connectivity relevant for fleet vehicles, mobile infrastructure, and any deployment where location is operationally significant. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports, dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi 5, RS-232, RS-485, and a DI/DO port give integrators the interface coverage to handle mixed environments without additional hardware.

Fleet & In-Vehicle Connectivity

For workforce fleets service vehicles, utility trucks, field engineering teams the R2110 5G RedCap consolidates what would otherwise be multiple onboard devices into a single managed platform. The 5G RedCap uplink handles concurrent data streams with headroom to spare: real-time telematics feeding back to fleet management platforms, onboard CCTV recording and uplink, in-vehicle payment terminals requiring reliable, low-latency connectivity, and remote diagnostics tools accessing vehicle systems or field equipment simultaneously.
Temporary Site Connectivity

Construction sites, mining operations, infrastructure projects, and pop-up facilities share a common problem: they need site-grade connectivity in locations where fixed-line infrastructure either doesn’t exist or can’t be provisioned quickly enough. The R2110 5G RedCap functions as a primary site router in these environments — 5G RedCap cellular as the WAN uplink, four Gigabit LAN ports for local device switching, and dual-band Wi-Fi for wireless coverage across the site footprint.
IP Camera Backhaul

Where cameras and NVRs are independently powered or already connected through a separate PoE switch, the connectivity challenge shifts from powering devices to moving their data reliably. The R2110 5G RedCap is designed for exactly this role: a high-throughput 5G RedCap cellular uplink delivers the bandwidth that multi-camera video streams require, while four Gigabit LAN ports provide local switching capacity for NVRs and associated security infrastructure at the same site. RCMS enables remote monitoring, reboot, and configuration of the router itself without dispatching an engineer to the camera location.
